H. ROC TRAYLOR is an eighty-year-old storyteller who grew up in a lively family of eleven siblings during a time when radio was a household staple. His upbringing in South Philadelphia, surrounded by his large family, sparked his imagination and storytelling prowess.

Traylor’s diverse career includes nine years as a Philadelphia police officer, thirty-five years as a US postal worker, and eight years as a school cop. His life has been complemented by his enduring marriage to Sylvia, who has been by his side for fifty years, and their six sons: Elgin, Marc, Pete, Sterling, Kareem, and Rocque.
